WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN DURING WORSHIP?
View a breakdown of our typical worship service.
We welcome everyone to worship and join us.
Prayer
We begin our service with a period of prayer, centering our hearts and minds to worship. We offer prayers of praise, thanksgiving, and intercessions.
Singing
We enter next into a time of congregational singing. Our songs are a mix of traditional and contemporary styles that are often planned to support the message. We choose music carefully since it is an important and unifying way of sharing the gospel. Singing is used to praise God, encourage one another and build faith.
The Lord's Supper
We celebrate the Lord’ Supper (communion) each week. The Supper is the centerpiece of our worship and a time for reflection. The symbol of Christianity is not only the cross, but also the table where we are invited to share in the body and blood of Christ through the bread and cup.
If you are comfortable with this principle, we welcome you to participate. In consideration of COVID, rather than passing plates, we have begun placing individually wrapped cups and crackers on a table set up at the entry of the auditorium.
Likewise, our tithes and offerings are collected in a box situated at the back of the auditorium. You are our guest, so do not feel compelled to give as this is an act of worship intended for members and regular visitors.
Message
After accompanying children upstairs to their classrooms, we gather for the message. We believe that the Scriptures are the Spirit-inspired revelation of God concerning himself, his Son and his plan for all creation. We seek to be faithful to the Word and to inspire both believers and non-believers to seek truth and find wisdom. After the message, we conclude our service with a closing song.
